Important Pointers for Your Glasses
Here are some important pointers regarding your glasses, to help you protect your collectibles optimally and enjoy them for years to come.
Proper Storage :
- Keep your sunglasses in the provided microfiber pouch or vegan leather case.
- If these aren’t available, rely on our extra protection feature: SCUFFGUARD™. Its special front geometry shields your lenses from scratches, whether in storage or placed face down on any surface.
- Store the glasses in a dry place and avoid extreme temperatures (–10° to +30°).
- Never store the glasses on the dashboard of a car, as it is not a suitable storage place.
Cleaning :
- Use water and a mild soap for cleaning the glasses.
- Always use a clean microfiber cloth for wiping the lenses.
- Do not use washing detergent for cleaning your glasses, it might contain aggressive softeners that might damage lenses and frame.
- Avoid contact with alcohol (window cleaner), acetone (nail polish remover) or any kind of strong solvents.
Optical Lenses :
- The lenses installed have a base curve of 2.0. If optical lenses are to be inserted, it’s advisable to consult an optician.
- If the base curve exceeds 3.5, there may be instances where the lens protrudes, and the effectiveness of the SCUFFGUARD™ may be compromised. However, the glasses can still be fitted with higher base curves. In such cases, the optician should adjust the position of the temples and ensure the perfect fit of the glasses on the face.
Avoid Certain Cleaners and Materials :
- Do not use solvents like pure alcohol (e.g., window cleaner) or acetone (nail polish remover) on your glasses.
- Avoid using paper towels to clean the lenses; although they appear soft, they are actually quite abrasive.
- Do not use clothes (e.g. your t-shirt) for cleaning your glasses, as they might be greasy (or contain residues of fabric softener) or have accumulated dust that can scratch the lenses.
Cleaning Cloth Care :
- A dirty cleaning cloth can compromise the filtering properties of the lenses and damage the surface and coating of the lenses.
- Never wash microfiber cloths using fabric softener.
Your glasses have been equipped with a pre-set temple shape tailored to the overall size, ensuring maximum comfort. However, faces and heads are naturally very individual, and it may sometimes occur that the fit is not immediately optimal. We recommend having the temple adjusted by a professional. If you purchased the glasses from your trusted optician, they will ensure the perfect fit for you. Whether you obtained these glasses directly from us or an online retailer, a friendly optician will be able to help. If you need assistance with finding a suitable optician, we will, of course, try our best to assist you. On the inside of the left temple, you’ll find the size of the front and the temple. Generally, larger unisex or men’s frames come with a longer temple (145mm), while more feminine or smaller frames are typically equipped with a slightly shorter temple (133mm).
