COLLECTIONS Distinct worlds shaped through material, light, and craftsmanship.

Designed in Barcelona. Handmade in Sabae, Japan.

Three distinct expressions of luxury eyewear.

Barcelunettes eyewear collections explore the relationship between material, light, craftsmanship and form.

The Ferro Collection is built on block titanium, a deeper sculpted profile that allows bevels, contours and architectural presence. The Vagues Collection captures the movement of Mediterranean light through layered acetate and expressive colour. The Kaleidoskope Titanium Collection focuses on precision, lightness and architectural balance through fine Japanese titanium construction.

Every frame is designed in Barcelona and handmade in Sabae, Japan, one of the world’s most respected centres of specialist eyewear craftsmanship. Available across optical frames, sunglasses and selected red carpet configurations, each collection reflects a different interpretation of modern luxury while sharing the same commitment to longevity, precision and timeless design.

02 / Vagues

Light in motion.

The Vagues Collection explores the movement of Mediterranean light through layered acetate.

Each frame is sculpted from premium acetate selected for colour depth, structure and expressive material character, then shaped with deep bevels and flowing contours designed to catch and refract light from every angle.

Inspired by reflections across the Barcelona coastline, the collection balances expressive colour with architectural restraint. Produced in limited quantities of 150 pieces per model per colour.

03 / Kaleidoskope Titanium

Precision in balance.

The Kaleidoskope Titanium Collection explores restraint, lightness and precision engineering through fine Japanese titanium construction.

Sculpted with ultra-light materials, refined geometries and precision-machined details, each frame is designed for long-term comfort without sacrificing presence.

Selected titanium components are enhanced through specialist galvanic finishing processes, allowing refined precious-metal finishes including gold, rose gold, platinum and other collection-specific tones.

Subtle reflections, engraved surfaces and architectural silhouettes create a quieter expression of luxury across sunglasses, optical and red carpet configurations.

Collection Questions

Questions About Barcelunettes Collections

How do the Barcelunettes collections differ?

Ferro is built on block titanium, a deeper sculpted profile that creates architectural presence. Kaleidoskope Titanium uses fine titanium construction for lightness, restraint and precision. Vagues explores movement, light and expressive layered acetate. The two titanium collections are distinguished by construction rather than finish.

What is block titanium?

Block titanium is a construction approach that uses a deeper titanium profile rather than a traditional fine rim-wire structure. The additional depth allows beveling, contour transitions and stronger side geometry that conventional fine titanium cannot achieve. It is the construction behind the Ferro Collection.

What is the difference between acetate and titanium eyewear?

Acetate allows for sculptural forms, layered colour and expressive design details, while titanium offers exceptional lightness, strength and long-term comfort. Barcelunettes explores both materials through distinct collections designed for different aesthetic preferences.

What materials are used across Barcelunettes collections?

Barcelunettes collections utilise carefully selected premium materials including Japanese titanium and specialist acetates chosen for their durability, comfort, colour depth and finishing characteristics. Depending on the collection, materials may include premium acetates from manufacturers such as Mazzucchelli and Takiron, alongside titanium frames enhanced through specialist galvanic finishing processes that allow refined precious-metal finishes including gold, rose gold and platinum.

Why are Barcelunettes frames handmade in Sabae, Japan?

Barcelunettes frames are handmade in Sabae, Japan, one of the world’s most respected centres of specialist eyewear craftsmanship. The region is internationally recognised for its expertise in titanium production, acetate finishing and precision frame construction.

Are Barcelunettes collections available as sunglasses and optical frames?

Depending on the collection, Barcelunettes frames are available as sunglasses, optical frames and selected red carpet configurations. Availability varies by model and collection.
